RV Doctor House Call #1: Remote Thermostat

An RVer at New Brighton shows Gary the remote thermostat that he installed himself to control the air conditioner. It allows him to not have to reach up high or grab a foot stool to adjust the temperature. This particular model also comes with a remote control for even easier use. All you need is the model seal number off the air conditioner and you can order the thermostat unit.

RV Doctor House Call #2: Rig Stabilization

Gary helps an RVer with his rigs stabilization issue. The slide outs have a tendency to rock when ever someone enters that area. Gary inspects the current stabilizing jacks in that area and discovers that the u channel supporting this side of the RV may not be enough surface area to truly stabilize the area.

Materials and Tools:

2 wood blocks
wrench

1. Lower the jack.

2. Insert wood blocks into the u-channel.

3. Replace jack under the outside edge of the wall and tighten into place.

4. Repeat on the opposite side of the slide out.
