RV Doctor House Call #1Many times if you arrive at the campground at night you may find it difficult to level your RV. One helpful gadget is a level that can be mounted on the RV itself. Materials: 2 adhesive-backed levels - Remove tape backing to reveal adhesive and apply level to side of the RV.
- Repeat the process from step 1--but apply another level to the front of the RV for the side-to-side leveling of the rig.
RV Doctor House Call #2 Sometimes the screws will strip out in the hinges or on the cabinet latches of RV's kitchen cabinets. To eliminate the loose cabinet doors just add wood closing in the enlarged holes securing the hinges. Materials: match or toothpick Tool: screwdriver - Break off a piece of toothpick or matchstick to create a jagged edge.
- Place the jagged edge of the wood piece into the enlarged hole. Now there is wood in the pre-existing hole making a more secure hole for supporting the hinge and cabinet door.
RV Doctor House Call #3 Owners need to be aware of the plastic pieces on the outside of their RV as they are prone to oxidation since they are exposed to the elements. Gary shows an RV owner how to resolve his issue with a stuck water-heater door. Materials: Steel water-heater door clasp - Remove plastic door latch.
- Install the new metal door latch. Simply screw into place.
