Fort Wilderness House Calls

Host Gary Bunzer makes a couple of house calls on Disney RVers.

While the Tiisler family is enjoying a day at Magic Kingdom, host Gary Bunzer makes a couple of house calls as the RV Doctor. He answers RV questions and shares tips and gadgets to help solve a few problems for Rver's at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.

House Call #1:

Problem: An RV owner has a problem with the shore line cord sticking in the ground pedestal.

Solution: Gary passes along a handy gadget for not getting stuck in the future. The Plug Dog attaches to the shore line cord and stays attached while plugged in. It has a useful handle on the back that will give some leverage when trying to unplug (figure A).

House Call #2

Problem: The owner's RV has a leaky fresh water connection that is causing a mud pool outside his RV.

Solution: Gary shows him a fresh water hose quick disconnect that will solve his dilemma.

Materials:

Fresh Water Hose Quick Disconnect

Turn off water supply.
Disconnect hose from faucet.
Thread the female end of the hose onto the disconnect device and make sure it is flush with the washer.
Then release the handle and pull down, exposing the washer on the quick disconnect.
Push quick disconnect (figure B) into the facet and close. Turn the water on and the leaks should disappear.
