Install Mounting Bar and Hook Up Speaker Pods

    • To mount the bar in the car, begin by temporarily pulling up the sub enclosure, and then pull off the hatch gasket and pop loose the lower trim panel.

    • Also, pull off the upper trim panel, and pop out the wiring harness boot above the hatch.

    • Next, slide the speaker wires into the pipe from the speaker mounting locations and use a grabber tool to fish them out of the mounting plate end (figure E).

    • Use a grabber tool again to pull the wires through the hole in the side of the hatch and out the top.

    • Next, work the wiring through the grommet.

    • You'll want a friend to help hold the bar in position as you pull the wiring slack through the hatch.

    • When all of the slack is removed, align the gasket material between the mounting plates and the hatch and attach the bar with self-tapping screws.

    • After the bar is secured, you can run the wiring through the harness, down the sidewall and across the floor.

    • Replace the grommet.
