Some extensions will need to be added to the wires from the motor because they wont be long enough to reach the fuse panel under the dash. Attach them near the motor and then tape them up and cover the extensions with split loom.Starting at the outside of the trunk, run the wires through the trunk support all the way to the motor. Plug the harness in, wrap all the wires in split loom, and then pull the excess wire back through the trunk (figure G). Finish it off by securing the new leads with wire ties. Now that the motor in on and the wiring attached, its time to finish this part of the project by installing the wing. With the unit in its full upright position, attach eight spacers to the top with screws and lock nuts. Leave the spacers slightly loose for adjustment, and flip them up so they are ready to accept the wing.At a table, flip the wing over, attach the wing mounts underneath, and tighten all four down with an Allen wrench (figure H).The side plates go on next using the screws and washers that come in the kit. Make sure they are on tight (figure I).Then take the wing to the car and line up the wing mounts with the spacers (figure J), insert the bolts into the mounts and tighten everything down (figure K).Important: Included in this summary are the steps in this automotive procedure as shown in the episode.
