The stock Integra came equipped with a 140 horsepower engine.
The Acura Integra is a classic platform in the sport-compact scene. The sporty coupe saw few changes between model years 1994 and 2000, making stock parts and upgrades for the car readily available.

As for the car's history, the entire Integra lineup came well equipped from Acura. Even the base-model boasted a 140-horsepower dual-overhead-cam engine. Fuel economy was also highly respectable, ranging from 25 to 29 mpg for city driving. But it was the car's healthy rev and stout handling that made it a perennial favorite among auto reviewers as well as drivers. The wishbone suspension, a hunger for the curves, quickness off the line and brisk acceleration (0 to 60 in the mid-6 range) have made the Integra a favorite among driving enthusiasts over the years.

Special editions like the GSR and the aggressively outfitted Type-R featured Acura's VTEC engine and had even more lightning under the hood. The lower-production and highly sought-after Type-R version was the performance standout with lighter overall weight (due to reduced sound insulation and a few other missing amenities), a stiffer suspension, fatter tires and a modified 195-horsepower 1.8-liter engine. Until its replacement in 2001 with the RSX, the Integra was truly a drivers car.
