    Air Filter

Check the air filter every six months or 6,000 miles and replace it as needed or at least every 24,000 miles. The air filter traps dust and dirt from the air before it can enter the engine. If the filter is dirty it partially blocks airflow, which will cause the engine to run poorly, waste gas and pollute the air.

    Tar Removal

Cars are regularly hit with small specks of asphalt, tire rubber, grease and oils kicked up by other vehicles on the road. A solvent is necessary to remove road solvent. Most commercial tar removers contain kerosene, mineral spirits or another petroleum distillate combined with lubricants to surround and buffer the road tar from the car's paint.

    Engine Oil

To properly check engine oil level the engine must be warm. A good rule of thumb is to check the oil level with every other fill up.
