  • Automotive Quick Tip: Wind Deflector
  • From "Ask DIY"
    episode ADI-512
    advertisement

A wind and rain deflector can help reduce noise when your car window is rolled down and can allow you to open the window a bit when it's raining. Deflectors come in a variety of styles and colors; you can buy one to match your car's finish, or you can get a plain plastic model that requires no tools to install. Simply start at the bottom near the side mirror and insert the flange into the window channel, then insert the other end into the upper corner of the window. Return to the bottom edge and work the remainder of the deflector flange.
