Tools and materials for this phase of the project:

Your host, Andrew Totolos, demonstrates the winning smile he uses when luring unsuspecting sports-car owners into handing over their keys.
    Steps:

    • Reinstalling the parts that were updated is easy: everything goes back in exactly the way it came out — just in reverse.

    • Before Andrew reinstalls the seats, he decides to add some carbon fiber accents to the interior. First, he installs a carbon fiber console. Some plastic inside the car has to be removed before the new console can be installed. Garment hooks hold the panels behind the seats and the carpet on the center console is held in place with panel clips.

    • The carbon panel won't fit over the carpet, so the carpet has to be pulled away.

    • Remove the screws holding the back of the console.

    • Pull the back of the console up and slide the carbon fiber piece into place beneath it.

    • Replace all the pieces and panels that were removed to fit the console in.

    • Install a fresh gearshift boot (figure N). Line up the seams at each corner before turning the edges over. Tuck them into the built-in clips on the bezel, and pop the bezel back into the console trim.

    • Replace the trim panel on top of the new carbon fiber piece, and pop the newly covered armrest in place.

    • The new carbon-fiber Tonneau cover just lays in place over the convertible top.

    • Secure the cover using a C-clamp. Attach the clamp to the bottom lip of the Tonneau cover and to the lip of the molded convertible top. Clamp it together.

    • The cover's not a good idea for a rainy day because it's too large to fit in the trunk. Plan to use it only on a sunny day.

    • Reinstall the seats. Drop the passenger seat in place. Tighten up the front bolt and then the back.

    • Repeat the process for the driver's side, finishing up by feeding the seat belt through its guide.

    • Top off the interior overhaul by adding a set of new factory floor mats.
