Lay the cluster into position and bundle the wires together in front of the steering column (figure G).Then run the wires down the side of the dash to the fuse panel.Screw the cluster down next.Replace the bezel to cover the wires and screw it down too (figure H).
Under the dash, add an eyelet connector to the black wire for ground and attach a fuse tap to the red lead (figure I).Attach the ground to a solid ground point, then add a ten-amp fuse and plug the fuse tap into the gauge illumination circuit (figure J).
Collect and tie all the wires to hide them out of view.Attach the control device with wire ties in a discreet location under the dash (figure K).Once everything is wired, reattach the battery and check to make sure that the pod lights up.
Now it's time to reinstall the painted panels (figures L and M). Take care when working around the areas that are freshly painted because they need between seven days and a couple of weeks to cure. Normal driving should be fine.
Along with the dressed up dash panel, the newly repainted and installed panels (figures N and O) give this Mitsubishi that extra touch of interior sizzle.
