In this project Andrew Totolos, host of DIY's Tricked Out, tricks out the interior on a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. To add even more bling to the interior, Andrew installs a set of gauge overlays. He finishes out the modification by reinstalling the freshly painted panels.Tools and materials: dash face gauge kit

Steps: - To begin the gauge overlay installation, the first step is to remove the existing gauge bezel. Pull out the two screws holding it in place and pop it free.
- There are four screws behind the bezel holding the gauge cluster in place. Remove those and then pull the cluster straight out to release it from the dash (figure A).
- At the workbench, push in the tabs holding the clear cover on and carefully pull it off.
- Do the same with all the tabs, holding the black trim piece on.
- For the speedometer and tach gauges, gently turn the needle up to twelve o'clock and slide the overlay under the needle and into place (figure B).
Remove the two screws near the fuel (figure C) and temperature gauges. Slide those in from the side (figure D) and replace the screws.
Run the wires from the overlays through the existing channels and out the sides of the gauge cluster (figure E). Snap the black trim piece (figure F) and the clear cover back into place.Finish up by connecting the overlay harness to the wires from the factory gauges.Safety Alert: Always remove the negative battery terminal before working on your vehicle's electrical system.
