The fiberglass materials in a Corvette's body allow Mike McCloskey to restore them to their (almost) flawless original state.

Mike McCloskey uses his free time to engage in his lifelong passion: restoring Corvettes. He looks for uncovered gems -- old parts that can be salvaged and reused -- which he then stores in his workshop garage.

McCloskey learned body and mechanical work from friend. Although he says many enthusiasts hire someone to complete their restoration projects, he derives a sense of satisfaction from completing a restoration to his own exacting standards. McCloskey takes his hobby on the road by attending regional and national events to meet other restorers and exchange ideas.
