    • Cover a work bench or table with a drop cloth or a few towels to protect the paint on the fender.

    • Lay the fender on the bench, upside down so you have access to the interior.

    • The brake light assembly will consist of the light itself, a thick rubber gasket, two lock washers and nuts, and of course, the wires.

    • Set the rubber gasket in place, and pass the wires through the hole in the fender and then set the brake light in place.

    • Secure the brake light with the two lock washers and nuts. Pass the wire through the retention clips.

    • The fender trim can now be installed. Each trim piece has a U-shaped channel the mounts facing towards the fender. The threaded pins will slide into the U-shaped channel.

    • With the pins in place in the channel, the trim piece can be set in place on the fender. The pins will insert into the small holes along the side of the fender.

    • On the inside of the fender, secure the pins with lock washers and nuts.

    • Repeat the process for the other side of the fender.

    • Once the fender is complete, it can be re-mounted on the bike.

    • Carefully set the fender in place, between the rear frame triangle of the bike. It helps if you have someone to assist.

    • Once the fender is positioned, screw in the mounting bolts and tighten.
