Rebuilding the CarburetorThe rebuild will essentially be the reverse of the disassembly procedure. The rebuild kit will contain the necessary new gaskets, springs, and check balls.
- Reinstall the throttle linkage (figure E).
- Reinstall the throttle shaft (figure F).
Install the throttle plate (figure G).At this point, the carburetor is essentially refurbished (figure H).
Now simply install the gasket, following the manufacturer's instructions (figure I). The carburetor can now be re-bolted to the intake manifold (figure J).
Make sure the new gasket is secure between the carburetor and the intake manifold. Then simply insert the three carburetor mounting screws and tighten them down.
