In this segment host Kevin Tetz is joined by Jeff Grigg, a master plumber, to install a new and larger sink, the fixtures and a water-filter system in the project '70 Airstream. The sink is made of a black stone composite and coordinates perfectly with the new countertop. The new pull-out faucet is residential style.

Installing the Sink and FixturesTip: Jeff says to put everything you can on the sink before actually installing it. - First, use a drift punch to knock out the second hole for the water filter spout.
- Feed the water line in through the hole and install the spout.
- Add the washer, nut and rubber seal, and then tighten the nut to secure the spout in the sink. The faucet has a rubber seal so doesn't require plumbers putty. The mounting hardware goes on and the nut is screwed into place.
- The mounting screws are tightened down.
- Now it's time to connect the spout line to the supply line. It simply slides on and snaps into place (figure A).
- Next put the basket in. Place a 3/8"-thick bead of plumbers putty around the bottom of the basket and press it down along the edge to create a good seal (figure B).
- The basket goes into the drain hole and is pressed into place so the putty creates the seal. The rubber gasket and paper washer go on and the lock nut.
- Use a basket wrench to tighten the nut, and the plumbers putty squishes out from the other side.
- Also hook up the water-supply lines--both hot water and cold water. Run a bead of silicon along the outside edge of the sink before putting the sink into place. Hook the clamps (figure C) on to the sink after placing it in the hole.
- Attach the water filter to the bracket that is on the back wall underneath the sink. The water filter line is connected to the T-fitting on the cold water supply line and tightened down. The blue line from the filter spout is hooked up to the unit.
- To hook up the sink drain, add a piece of pipe to the main drain line and a trap pipe to connect the sink's drain tail piece (figure D).
- Tighten the slip nuts to secure the fittings. To keep the tension on the pull out faucet, add a counter weight to the faucet line.
In the final segment Kevin will install the new kitchen appliances.
