[PAGE SEPARATOR] Replacing the Fuel FilterTo replace the old filter, you'll need to get under the car.
Re-connect the fuel pressure test line so that you can check the repaired system. The pressure tester line is removed, a new fuel line clip is installed and the line is connected to the new fuel filter. When you're done with everything, the truck bed goes back on. It's a good idea to apply anti-seize compound to the truck bed bolts before reinstalling them. This will keep them secure and also prevent corrosion. Use a wire brush to clean rust off of truck bed bolts and replace any damaged bolts. And the fuel filler neck is secured to the truck bed. Tip: It's always a good idea to keep your fuel tank full. The more air in the tank the more condensation and water that gets mixed in with the gas--and gas and water don't mix. Keeping the tank full will prevent air and water from rusting a metal tank.
