How to Paint and Decoupage a Dresser (page 2 of 3)
Learn how to paint stripes on a dresser then use wrapping paper to add a fun pattern.

Mark the Stripes For the First Color
Measure and mark where you want to paint the stripes. Use painter's tape to create the pattern.
Paint First Color
Start with the lightest color. Apply one coat and let it dry, then add a second coat and let it dry completely.
Tape For the Second Color
Carefully remove the painter's tape. Then apply tape to the dresser for the second color.
Paint Second Color
Apply one coat of the second color. Let it dry completely and then apply a second coat.
Touch Up Paint
Fix and touch up around the edges of each color with a small paintbrush.
