How to Make Photo Gift Tags
Instead of the usual gift tags, use photos to identify your gift recipients. Old childhood photos or silly pictures will make gift-giving much more fun.
A holiday gathering of close friends and family wouldn’t be complete without a few trips down memory lane. This year, kick off the nostalgia by incorporating childhood photos onto gifts to indicate who the recipient is — the goofier, the better! Tie off with decorative ribbon for a spin on the traditional gift tag that’s festive, sentimental and sure to evoke a laugh or two.
Materials Needed
- circle cutter or circle punch (in the size you want your finished tags)
- standard hole punch
- full-sheet sticker label
- photos on your computer
- colored card stock
- ribbon
- white gel pen
- scissors
- printer

Print Photos
Choose a photo of the gift's recipient and scale it to a size that's just a bit larger than your circle punch. Change the image to black and white, then print onto sticker label sheets. Using scissors, cut out the image, keeping a white border to give yourself a bit more play when punching out the image. Punch the circle, then peel back one corner to expose the label sheet's adhesive side and mount onto colorful card stock.

Fill Out the Back
Flip punched tag over and write "to" and "from" lines on the back. After your tag has been addressed, use a standard hole punch to create a small hole for ribbon or twine. Add to boxes wrapped in simple craft paper and tied with velvet ribbon.
