This Halloween, decorate your windowsill with spooky terrarium jars. This easy project is inexpensive and perfect to make with the kids.
By Joanne Palmisano, Salvage SecretsMore in Decorating
We filled recycled glass jars with spiders, cotton ghosts, moss and branches to make Halloween terrariums. This is a great project to make with kids; they can fill their jars with a variety of scary trinkets and toys. Depending on the age of the children, you may want to use regular craft glue instead of the hot glue gun.
scissors
hot glue gun
black craft paint and a paintbrush
recycled glass food jars with metal lids
a bag of moss
small toy spiders
white cotton spider webbing
2-inch piece of cardboard
small branches and twigs with lots of arms
black thread
Remove the labels from the jars, clean and dry them. Paint the lids of the jars black. Gather all the items to fill the terrarium.
