Global-Inspired Mantel

Give your holiday decorations a new twist with Christmas stockings crafted from burlap, muslin and colorful tassels. Use red and green tassels for a traditional look, or mix up the colors to match your home decor. Here's what you'll need: scissors, 1 yard of burlap, 1 yard chunky muslin or linen fabric, matching thread, embroidery thread for the tassels and our stocking template (click here). We used a sewing machine, but this project could easily be hand-sewn.
