With a few designer touches — like the painted floor, lush curtains and an integrated color palette — the stage doesn’t have to look like a stage when not in use. To make a stage, you’ll need: 2x4 or 2x6 lumber, drill, 3” wood screws, measuring tape, marker, chalk line, ladder, nail gun, drywall anchors, ceiling-mounted drapery rod, drapery rings and hooks, drapery panels, porch-and-deck paint, 2” angled paintbrush, mini roller handle and sleeve, paint pan, table saw, multicolored duct tape, mini crowbar, stud finder, circular saw, wood glue, 4’ x 8’ sheets of 3/4” paint-grade plywood.
