Ingredients (Firefly):

1/2 lime
1 oz. rum
ginger beer
rock candy syrup, made by dissolving 2 parts sugar in 1 part water on the stove
ice

Squeeze half a lime over ice in a lowball glass. Pour in 1 oz. dark rum, fill the glass halfway with ginger beer, top with a dash of rock candy syrup and stir.

Ingredients (Lemon Daisy):

ice
1/2 lemon
lemon-lime soda
grenadine
club soda
rock candy syrup (see above)

Squeeze half a lemon over ice in a highball glass . Fill the glass halfway with lemon-lime soda. Add a splash each of club soda, grenadine and rock candy syrup.
