To make a spider costume, you’ll need: four 6-foot pipe insulation tubes 1/2" thick in black or gray (found at hardware stores for less than $2 each) or you can use pool noodles painted black; 50 pipe cleaners in black; 1 round perforated laundry basket lid (comes with the basket; we paid about $6 for it); black foam board; a roll of black tulle fabric, black acrylic paint or spray paint; 8 large safety pins; scissors or utility knife; a ruler; a permanent marker; and a glue gun.
