On the first episode of a four-part Vespa Scooter series, you'll be introduced to the project scooter -- a '74 Vespa Sprint Veloce, which was produced from 1965-1977. The vintage '70s styling and excellent scooter mechanics make this a great candidate for a restoration. Host Kevin Tetz goes over some basic tips for buying a project scooter and shares some of the rich Vespa history. Then you'll be introduced to Vespa restoration expert Greg West, who will assist Kevin throughout the series. Kevin and Greg access the condition of the scooter, go over the restoration plan and strip the scooter down to the chassis, preparing it for a two-tone paint job.
