When Cathie Filian received the Outstanding Senior Design Award from The Ohio State University, it came as no surprise to her parents. They had seen her creative side blossoming for years. After graduation, Cathie moved to Hollywood where she quickly found her niche designing costumes for movies Vanilla Sky, Rushmore and others. Wardrobe design was rewarding, but today Cathie likes it even better instructing crafters on new tricks and inspiring them to find their own inner artistry.
