Cat Wei is a seriously talented architect and interior designer, named by Interview Magazine as one of 13 up-and-coming beautiful people to watch. Cat earned a degree in environmental design at the University of Colorado, then picked up a master's in architecture from Columbia University. She built her foundation at prominent design firms such as Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill, and Richardson Sadeki, and even served on the architecture faculty at the New York Institute of Technology. She further pursued her interest in interior design with her own business, working with high-profile clients from Fortune 400 list-makers to TV stars. Today Cat continues to practice architecture and interior design in New York City as the Global Store Design Director for Kiehl's. She is the author of Material World: Home Décor Projects for the Fabric Obsessed (Quarry Books) and Material Girls: Fabric Makeovers for Your Home (Lark Books). Cat is an expert contributor to DIY Network's Sweat Equity series and a no-nonsense designer on Material Girls.
