Carpenter and craftsman Carter Oosterhouse first learned his trade as an apprentice to his neighbor, a master carpenter, at age 11. He further honed his construction skills while working with his brothers, also carpenters, before becoming a carpenter on the television shows Trading Spaces, HGTV’s Carter Can and NBC’s Three Wishes. He has also worked as a contributing correspondent for NBC’s Today. Carter is committed to solving homeowners’ most challenging renovation dilemmas in eco-friendly ways that conserve energy and reduce environmental waste. As the expert host on DIY Network’s The Inside Job, Carter takes viewers behind the scenes of the HGTV show Carter Can.
