The sunroom greets visitors from the office and living room with breathtaking views of Lake Hamilton and welcoming design details, from colorful plants to comfortable wicker chairs.

Flowers on potting table

Potted flowers freshen up the room with vibrant colors. The year-round sunlight provides the perfect environment for indoor plants to thrive.

A great way to enjoy the company of good conversation and friends with a waterside view, gatherings invite the pleasure of being outside with the comforts of air conditioning and shade.

Vintage Florida artwork

"The man who built this house started the Dun-D brand, so this homage to him," explains project manager Dylan Eastman, when describing the reproduced Florida crate labels hanging on the wall.

A reclaimed wood bench snuggles in between two custom-built chestnut drawers. The seat cushion and decorative pillow dress the room with a touch of blue and white.

Going fishing? Clever storage offer rods for new and seasoned anglers to enjoy fishing on Lake Hamilton.

Staying out of sight, racks mounted underneath the counter provide a designated space to keep fishing equipment organized. "I like to call it my fishing room," says Blog Cabin 2014 host Chris Grundy.

The neutral nuance paint choice paired with original glass doors, adds warmth and character to the room, while the bamboo flooring continues throughout the main level of the home.

Fishing pole storage

During the Blog Cabin's People's Choice voting period, online voters chose sunroom seating to be built from reclaimed wood. This floating bench seat features chestnut, which blends seamlessly with surrounding design details.

Pullout drawers offer clever hideaways to quickly store and retrieve whatever you may need for the lake.

In the original floor plan, the sunroom was accessible from front door of the home. It was kept the same size and shape, but the newly renovated space now leads into the living room and office.

Any room facing the hot Florida sun could collect heat. "Because of the amount of sunlight coming into the room, it's nice to have its own air conditioning unit," explains Dylan.
