A serene retreat shaded by a decades-old pecan tree, the outdoor kitchen offers a casual-chic space to cook out, kick back in classic Adirondack chairs and cozy up by the crackling embers in a custom-crafted fire pit. "I wanted to keep the same beachside cottage feel the cabin itself has," says Yard Crashers host Matt Blashaw. "I wanted a very simple and elegant space that feels comfortable to relax in. I packed it with all the essentials that a backyard should have — lots of hardscape to define the space, a beautiful rustic grill island to prepare a meal on, an outdoor shower to get you clean after a swim in the ocean and a stone wood-burning firepit to sit around with the family and friends to enjoy the beautiful North Carolina nights."
