The removal of the home's brick chimney made way for a curved and illuminated back deck, accessible from both the living room and the master suite.

About the Deck:
Blog Cabin was originally built to accommodate the needs of a farmer and his family. Designed primarily for function, the home lacked compelling outdoor spaces. The solution came in the form of a curved deck that runs the length of the home. Complete with built-in seating and LED riser lights, the space extends indoor entertaining out. "The backyard of the cabin has a pretty big slope coming off the house, so a deck was the perfect choice to give us more usable space without bringing back tons of dirt to get it level," says Yard Crashers host Matt Blashaw.
