Gemstone State of Mind

Inspired by the geodes and precious stones found throughout Idaho, a layered color palette and rich textures form an embellished gem of a master bedroom.

Built-In Storage

Two alcoves built into the sub-staircase cabinetry make for accessible bedside storage. Framed feathers represent species of birds native to Idaho.

Controllable Comfort

A clever remote controls just the right amount of firmness or softness in the master bed.

Pretty Paper

Continuing a gem stone theme, framed wrapping paper serves as a budget-friendly work of art that effectively ties in the colors of the master bedroom.

Iron Rose Sculptures

Hand-crafted iron roses add a romantic touch upon the bedside nightstand.

Sophisticated Seating

A posh lounge area is positioned across from the TV and the master balcony for pleasant morning moments or a relaxing unwind to the day.

Antique Dresser

A refurbished vintage dresser lends romance to the master bedroom, providing storage for clothes and doubling as an entertainment center.

Decorative Crystal

Geode crystals sit on display as an elegant inspiration for the master bedroom décor and pay tribute to Idaho as the gemstone state.

Smart Systems

This air conditioning unit features whisper-quiet technology for comfort and convenience. “Some people like it warm when they sleep and others like it super cold, so this unit allows you to control the temperature you want in the master bedroom without using up all of that energy in the rest of the house,” says build and design manager Dylan Eastman.

Warm Wood Wall Sculpture

A decorative wood feature flanks each side of the master bed and features a creative use of negative space showcasing two arrows.

No Space Wasted

Space underneath the master staircase was utilized for a linen closet and extra storage.

Hidden Laundry Chute

Forget hauling heavy baskets to the laundry room, a laundry chute is concealed under the staircase for effortless laundry collection, keeping dirty laundry away and out of sight.

Private Staircase

The master suite includes a private staircase that leads up into the zen master loft.

Wow-Worthy Walk-In Closet

Double doors open to a spacious master closet.

Light Diffusing Blinds

Sliding shades allow for privacy and provide a shield against a morning glare.

Gorgeous Views

The master bedroom is equipped with its own balcony that connects to the wraparound porch for enjoying the breathtaking views.

Lots of Layers

“The master bedroom is all about layering,” says design coordinator Laurie March. “Much like when you slice open a geode and you get that layered look, that’s what we were inspired by for that bedroom.”
