Blog Cabin 2009: Scenes From the Site
Paynes Chapel Baptist Church
Paynes Chapel Baptist Church, located one mile from the gated entrance to the Little Pine Preserve, is nestled at the base of the Western North Carolina mountains.
A view of the front porch of DIY Blog Cabin showcases native pine and hardwoods that border the property and were preserved during the build process.
A handcrafted ladder leads visitors to the main deck of the DIY Blog Cabin treehouse. The foundation, fashioned from sturdy 2 x 8s, is visible under the deck.
A rope bridge will lead from the back deck of the DIY Blog Cabin treehouse to the roadway. A 2" x 12" board presently holds its place.
Within the Trees
The DIY Blog Cabin treehouse is situated within the Little Pine environment. Rather than clear hardwood, trees grow up through the center of the structure.
Privacy is one of many perks at Little Pine. A grand estate, situated at the top of the preserve, boasts breathtaking mountain views.
